Texas vs Alabama Reaction + Analysis | College Football 2023
from College Football with Sam · host Samuel Recker
Texas Football earned a statement win last night against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Bryant Denny Stadium. The Texas Longhorns dominated Alabama offensively, winning 34-24 and executing several big plays to close out the game. Steve Sarkisian put a feather in his cap yesterday as he not only beat Nick Saban but also gave Texas their best win in over a decade. If Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers can play at a consistently high level and remain accurate and healthy, I expect that Texas will make the College Football Playoffs as they can afford one loss on their schedule and they already have their toughest game out of the way. The Longhorns are deep and talented in the trenches and at tight end and wide receiver. Nick Saban, however, has to go back to the drawing board if he hopes to contend for the SEC and avoid any more losses. No two-loss team has made the College Football Playoffs in its history, and I don't think that will change this year.
