She completed her bachelor's degree at McGill University followed by her MD at the University of Western Ontario, followed by general surgery training in Canada and plastic surgery residency at UCSF and Montefiore. She even completed a clinical microsurgery and hand fellowship at the Buncke Clinic in 1980. She is known for pioneering the 'Hall Findlay Technique,' has authored numerous textbook chapters and textbooks in aesthetic breast surgery, has lectured on almost every continent around the world, and was even the recipient of the prestigious ASPS Special Achievement award in plastic surgery.
