TFR 76: Matilda
from The Omniplex Hosted by Austin Shinn, Albert Wiltfong, and Zephyr Ash
We continue our series of tributes to the films of 1996 with a childhood favorite for anyone who's ever been a child: Matilda! We speak from two perspectives: one who grew up with the film (Albert) and one who avoid seeing out of love for the book (Austin). From Danny DeVito's brilliant dynamic camerawork, to Mara Wilson's most iconic performance, we take a look at what makes this classic tale of overcoming trauma such a masterpiece.
