TFR Ep. 649: Shazam: Fury Of The Gods, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, 5 DC Adaptions We’d Like To See

This week on The First Run, Chris and Matt say the magic word and return to the world of the Marvel Family!  It’s Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Captain Marvel Jr., or as current copyrights now call them, the Shazam family.  It’s Shazam: Fury Of The Gods!  Zachary Levi and the gang return to face Helen Mirren, Lucy Lui, and current Hollywood It Girl, Rachel Zegler, collectively known as the SISTERS OF ATLAS (supposed to be some reverb) there.  Then Guy Ritchie ventures away from his wheelhouse, the British crime thriller, to make a spy caper featuring Jason Statham, Audrey Plaza, and even more stars to stop an arms dealer.  But a cool arms dealer.  There’s the lovingly cultivated rundown of the big releases on Physical Media, featuring the Streaming and Straight to DVD Picks of the Week. Matt and Chris then close out the show by sharing their 5 Favorite DC Comic Stories Desperately In Need Of A Big Screen Adaptation! ’SHAZAM!’00:00-15:27: Intro/Shazam: Fury Of The Gods15:28-24:02: Physical Media & Streaming Picks24:03-33:52: Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre33:53-55:22: 5 DC Adaptions We’d Like To See55:23-57:23: Wrap Up Theme music by Jamal Malachi Ford-Bey
