THE JUSTIFICATION FOR FORGIVENESS is merely to see that what we thought "occurred" that made us upset was not the real thing that made us upset, and the thing that made us upset was a thought that was not true anyway, therefore not really there.  FORGIVENESS helps us to let go of illusions. It does not "forgive" the Truth (which is your right to Peace and JOY), it forgives illusions of upset that you projected that are not really there. (Even though they seem so "real.”)
