This is an action of shifting out of all the preoccupation with the past and the problems we bring forward from the past; we embrace the light of the present in which we have forgiven our past. Willingness to forgive totally is the key to this light. "Forgiveness is my function as the light of the world,' is Lesson #62. Guilt is gone in the present, and guilt is the major "cause of suffering." Our eternal Holiness is here now, but we have to tap into it. When we do, the light has come and we have forgiven the world. All guilt is meaningless in this, Christ's vision.
