Thank God For Your Parents

“Honor your father and your mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth.” Ephesians 6:2–3 Honoring your father and mother is not optional. It’s actually a commandment of the Lord. God didn’t attach an asterisk or give it a condition. He didn’t say, “Honor them if they’ve been good to you.” He simply said, honor. Now, I grew up in a generation that was rebellious, dismissive of authority, and often blind to the sacrifices that our parents had made. But God’s Word doesn’t change with generations. Even if your father failed or was absent, the commandment still remains. Choosing to honor isn’t about worthiness. It’s all about obedience. Take a moment today and thank God for your parents, and choose, as best as you can, to honor them in your heart. It’s time to pray
