Gratitude can remain a private feeling, but thanksgiving gives it a direction. Psalm 100 grounds thanks in knowing God as Creator, Shepherd, and the good Father whose steadfast love never fails His people. Through Jesus' blood, sinners may draw near to God with clean hearts and full assurance. It brings a restful heart that has nothing to prove.
