That Film Stew Ep 485 - The Fall Guy (Review)

from That Film Stew Podcast · host That Film Stew Podcast

Stunt performers - they get blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows, and dropped from the highest of heights. Directed by David Leitch, The Fall Guy is the action comedy film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt which is loosely based on the 1980s TV series about stunt performers. Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a battered and past-his-prime action choreographer, finds himself working on a film set with Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), a famous actor for whom he had doubled long ago. When Tom goes missing and the film, which is being directed by Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt), Colt’s ex-girlfriend in her directing debut, is in danger of being shut down, Colt volunteers to find Tom and save Jody’s debut film.
