Today, my daily goal is a morning trip to Tampa. BUT.... I have a much bigger goal that I have been thinking about for over a year with no clue as to how to get it done. How many of you people are using AI? I'm using AI more than I thought I would, which is kind of scary. You know what I mean? We're going to talk about that.

On this, the Monday edition of The Daily Great Vol. And welcome into this edition of The Daily Great Vol. My name is Michael Croes. Let's talk a little bit about artificial intelligence.

What is artificial intelligence? I first heard about artificial intelligence, believe it or not, in the late 1980s. I was running my business up in Turfins Springs with a artificial intelligence software package, which seems weird, but you know, what is artificial intelligence? Well, it was really a database that was mixed with a, a spread, or a database that was mixed with a word processing program and another thing.

And that's what it was. And they said that this program was better than all the other ones because it used artificial intelligence. What did that mean back then? What that meant was, and this was all in toss.

This was before there was something called Windows, but what that meant was that you would start typing something in, such as a city, if you were putting something into the database, it would immediately know if you were typing in Clearwater. It would immediately know you were typing in Clearwater and it would finish it for you because it was intelligent artificially. That was artificial intelligence in the 1980s. And then it kind of went away and then it kind of came back and then it kind of went away.

And now it's back in a big way because everybody's got this chat GPT. Remember that? I found it November and said, hmm, that's interesting. And now there's a whole bunch of other ones out there.

There's a lineup of them. There's chat GPT and there's, which I go to. And also there's one called Bard that's made by Google. I like that one a lot.

Now people, I do a lot of writing. People say you can use these things to write articles. No, you can't because, you know, the internet knows there are people who publish things. They know if you're using artificial intelligence, but what can you do with it?

You can use it to write outlines. And from those outlines, you sit down and you type out what you're going to write. I have been known to use it on this podcast to write, you know, just certain things. I will say, well, I did this just a little while ago.

I said I went on Bard and I went on chat GPT and I put the same prompt in both of them. And that was give me five examples of productivity for Mondays that are going to make you grateful. And I let them both go. Both were totally different.

I have to say Bard is usually the better of the two. But this time it was chat GPT that did the much better job. It just really was. I use that and I looked at all of that and I said, okay, that's interesting.

And I started reading parts of it. I started recording actually and reading parts of both of them and comparing them. And I was bringing you the audience in on the whole thing. And then I don't know.

Something just stopped me. Something just absolutely stopped me. I said, if I can't sit here and just talk to you and speak to you myself, then why am I here? You know, why do you need me?

I'm not going to do that anymore. And that just, you know, but I will tell you that whole experience and it was a bunch of texts on both of those programs. There was a text on Bard. I was not impressed with Bard on this assignment, but one of the very last things it was on Bard said on Monday, start taking one step this week at accomplishing a big goal, determine what that one step is and take one step at accomplishing a big goal.

And boy, that made sense to me. That made a lot of sense to me. Yeah, you know, because I talk to you all the time on my daily journal. I write three goals a day.

Some people write 30. My favorite ex wife Diane, she will sit and write 10. I write three and sometimes only two. And sometimes only one, but no more than three things that I want to accomplish on that day.

And today on Monday, I've wrote, you know, one thing that I want to accomplish today, just one thing is on my list of accomplishment today. And that is to go visit a client in Tampa this morning after I'm done with this. I'm going to run over there. I'm going to do that.

And then I will find other things to do. But my goal today is to be successful with that. And that should be good that, you know, if I can get that done, I'm very, very happy. But I'm now sitting here thinking about writing one thing down that will help me accomplish a rather big goal that I want to do, kind of a multifaceted big goal that I want to do because it's been a little bit overwhelming to me.

It absolutely has been overwhelming to me getting this thing formulated in my brain and wondering what I'm doing. And Scott Smith of the Daily Boost Podcast, he calls it fix and to get ready. And boy, he's so right about that. That's what I've been doing.

I've been fixing to get ready. Thank you, Scott. By the way, listen to his podcast, the Daily Boost Five Days a Week. You can actually watch it on YouTube.

It's quite good. But anyway, I've been fixing to get ready on this thing. And now it's time to get beyond the fixing to get ready part of things and get into doing it. So my assignment today is to write the one thing that I can do this week to start really pushing and moving ahead of that one goal.

Do you have something like that? I bet you do. I bet you that you probably got a bunch of things that you could do and put into that category. So that's what's on the assignment today.

That's what's on the list today. To work on that and try and accomplish that one thing that I'm going to work on a week. I've got the one thing that I'm doing today. I'm going to go into Tampa to see a client.

But other than that, I'm going to come down to my office and I'm going to write down exactly what I need to do. This week to further that big goal that I have. By the way, the big goal is not even that big of a goal, but it's big enough for me. And I've been like I say, my brain's been scrambling on how to do it.

So that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to take one step. I encourage you to do that. I'm so grateful that you're here.

We'll talk to you tomorrow. Bye-bye everybody.
