That Savior's Pattern

The Savior’s Pattern Luke 6:37-49 The Savior’s people are to follow the Savior’s pattern for living. Everywhere you look there is an over-abundance of theories about what human life should be like as the world bombards our everyday lives with proposed patterns of living. But according to Jesus, the patterns of the world are rival teaching opposed to the pattern of God’s Kingdom. Why? Because the ‘solutions’ offered by the world leave the depths of our sin problem untouched. All this sets the stage for our text this morning as Jesus turns to a string of illustrations that lay before His people God’s pattern for living. Jesus gives several illustrations but they mainly revolve around two points that we can summarize with two questions: Who Am I Following? and Where Am I Building?
