There is a timer counting down slowly for all of us – with an unknown quantity of time on it. Every moment it counts down until at some point we will have run out of time. At that point God will have declared, ‘Enough is enough.’ The patience of God has now run out and the people of God are going to experience his impending judgement. What a terrible place this is to be. And in order to get that message across God will call a unique man to a unique prophetic ministry. In this week’s passage we will meet Ezekiel, and more importantly we will learn about his ministry to a stubborn and hard-headed people.
