from The Armor Men's Health Show · host Dr. Sandeep Mistry and Donna Lee

Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there. In this segment, Donna Lee is joined by NAU Urology Specialists' newest pelvic floor physical therapist, the amazing Dr. Collette Rhoden, for another installment of our "That's What She Said" series.  Dr. Rhoden helps explain what a pelvic floor physical therapist does and some of the many benefits urology patients can gain from PT, including relief from incontinence; pain with penetration, erection, and/or ejaculation; premature ejaculation; erectile dysfunction; and myofascial pain. The connection between all the tendons, muscles, and nerves in the body can cause pain to show up in places you might not expect, and the pelvic floor is no exception. Dr. Rhoden also emphasizes the importance of deep belly breathing for oxygenating the organs and relaxing the pelvic floor muscles. At NAU Urology Specialists, PT doesn't have to be uncomfortable or embarrassing. In an average of 4-6 sessions, patients can learn to tune into their bodies and reduce or eliminate the symptoms that brought them in. If you or someone you love is suffering from any of the issues discussed in this segment, or if you think you might benefit by consulting a pelvic floor physical therapist, please give us a call today!
