The 1952 Washington D.C. UFO Incident

from All Things Strange · host Alien Conspiracy Podcast

Why don't they just land on the White House Lawn and say "take me to your leader?" Well it turns out UFOs came pretty close in 1952. They didn't land, but they did fly over the nation's capitol. This happened over two weekends. But this wasn't just an isolated incident: there was a genuine flap that year, and UFOs were seen in record numbers all over the nation.   The military was in a panic. They couldn't identify or intercept these UFOs. Had they been hostile, we would have been completely at their mercy. What makes these sightings extraordinary is that they were seen on multiple radars; they were simultaneously seen by visual observers on the ground and the air; and they were seen by multiple independent witnesses.   Come along as we discuss the 1952 Washington D.C. UFO incident, aka the Washington Flap, the Washington National Airport Sightings, or more dramatically as The Invasion of Washington.   You can follow the show on twitter @alienconpod.
