Sigrid, who was a talented pianist, would often sneak into the empty Kendall Hall located on campus to play piano, and sleep in the building. On September 4, 1977, a security guard entered Kendall Hall in order to kick Sigrid out of the building, when he stumbled upon Sigrid's badly beaten body.
