The 2023 NFL Quarterback Landscape (PST Episode 516)

from The Philadelphia Sports Table | Philly Sports News & Views · host The Philadelphia Sports Table

We are less than 100 days until the start of the NFL season. With that comes an altered landscape with the quarterback position by teams and how that affects certain divisions. Which quarterback takes the biggest step forward this year? Who’s flying under-the-radar? This week, we dove into the 2023 NFL quarterback landscape with Mark Schofield (@MarkSchofield on Twitter) from SB Nation. Also, Jeff Kerr from CBS Sports was a guest cohost this week. Tons of great discussions! But first, we gave reactions to the Sixers hiring Nick Nurse as the next head coach of the team, and how his scheme will fit with the talent on this team. We also dove into the recent Eric Lewis Twitter burner account controversy, and how this NBA Finals looks like for both the Nuggets and Heat. (approx. 7:30)We then discussed how there were no Major League Baseball games on primetime in certain areas of the country and how that’s an incredible loss for MLB’s brand. From there we talked about the Phillies fifth spot in the rotation and how they solve that issues that has persisted all season. (approx. 27:05)From there, we gave our assessments on which NFL team had the best offseason move to help propel their team to new heights. (approx. 35:00)What we threw down on the Table this week was a great and in-depth discussion with Mark Schofield from SB Nation about the current state of the NFL quarterback position as we look towards the 2023 season. Where specifically does Jalen Hurts need to improve this coming season? Which quarterback this coming season is going to take a step back? Which rookie quarterback is going to surprise us the most? All of this and much more this week on the Table!
