Through an illustrative story, we examined the futility of clinging to outdated rituals when the living reality of Jesus Christ fulfills all that the priesthood foreshadowed.The Aaronic Priesthood, established as a foreshadowing of Christ's ultimate sacrifice, was a hereditary role limited to the Levites. Yet, the LDS Church extends this priesthood to young boys, a practice that diverges from its original biblical intent. This misapplication highlights a broader issue of selectively applying biblical truths.In our discussion, we emphasized that Jesus, through His life, death, and resurrection, fulfilled the purpose of the Aaronic Priesthood.
