The Abandoned

The Abandoned is for the animals that get left behind by design. A tiger separates from its mother somewhere around two years old and never really finds anyone again. The most gorgeous creature alive, and it spends almost the entire thing in solitude. The irony literally writes itself. Tigers are far from alone in that. Sea turtles hatch and crawl toward the water with nobody watching. Snakes, most fish, most insects. It's normal. It's the way she goes. Still hurts to think about. The vibes on this one are sad. They are dark. They are weird. They are beautiful and melodic. You know I'd never have it any other way. Being abandoned is one of our deepest, darkest fears as humans. It's a part of life for them.
