The Abiding Protection of God

Danger is real, despite every effort to stay safe. Psalm 91 pictures disease, hidden schemes and sudden attack, then names God as the shelter where those who trust Him remain protected. This does not promise a life untouched by suffering; God may spare His people from danger or carry them through it. In Christ, they are covered from God's judgement and held through present trouble.
