The Abominations We Call Communities

Send a textThink about what a church community should really be. We're family right? Aren't we as Christians brothers and sisters in the greatest family who's father is the creator of the universe? If that's the case, how come someone can walk in a church and no one says anything to them outside of a "Hi" at the door and a "Thanks for coming" on the way out. How come we aren't living life together in tight-knit communities where we actually act like we care about each other, spending time with each other often, filling each other's needs, and discipling and praying for each other like a real family should? The obvious answer is that we're failing tremendously at actually treating our brothers and sisters like brothers and sisters. A church without a solid community isn't simply something to say "oh well" at. Community isn't a bonus if a church has it but still fine if it doesn't. A church without a Christian community is doing something terribly wrong and that points back to serious flaws in their theology and teaching.
