The Absurd Necessity Of Loving One's Enemies

from A Sound Heart · host Josiah Rich

This episode of Pneumatikos will explore the necessity of loving one's enemies.  It is indeed an absurd notion, but alas it is not.  It is a serious spiritual reality to love one's enemies.  There are a host of legitimate reasons not to love one's enemies, and they are often valid and reasonable.  After all, one's enemies are often odious, rude, full of candid tales, and deeds of ruinous actions toward us.  Yet, we are to love our enemies because if we do not they will enslave us through hate, and we will be diseased in body and soul with putrid hostility and resentment.   We must therefore love our enemies.
