The Abundant Life Pt. 10

In John 4:25–38, the conversation at the well turns outward. What begins with one woman encountering Jesus quickly expands into a call to mission. Jesus reveals Himself as the Messiah, but He doesn't stop there, He lifts His disciples' eyes to see a harvest already ready. While they are focused on the natural, Jesus points to the spiritual. Fields are ripe. People are searching. And the work of God is already in motion. The invitation is not to create the harvest, but to step into it to engage the culture around us and point others to Christ. This passage reminds us that the gospel is not meant to stay private. We are called to see people the way Jesus sees them, to move toward them rather than away, and to take part in the work of bringing them to Him. The harvest is ready. The question is whether we are willing to step into it.
