University of Canterbury chemical and process engineer - Professor Matthew Watson - isn't your typical academic. Matthew has helped launch three deep-tech companies from scientific research, with a fourth now in development. Those ventures span everything from turning waste plastics into safer wood glues, to producing low-emissions iron using hydrogen.
