Remember when you were a kid and you watched Indiana Jones swing by on a whip or unearth a new treasure or save the day? You were sure that if you just had the hat or the leather jacket you could be the next Indy ... and you were excited to find out what the next adventure would be - exciting? scary? confusing? sad? happy? What if we could read the story of the life of Jesus that way? What if we could be excited to find out what the next adventure will be? And instead of wanting to be the next Indy, what if we ended up wanting to emulate the way of Christ? That's what we're doing - one adventure at a time in this series: The Adventures of Jesus of Nazareth. Today we dive into Mark 3 and we get to see Jesus redefine Sabbath (again!), build his community of followers (officially!), grapple with his biological family, be accused of being in league with Satan and help us understand what Christian family is.
