Forty years ago, a film changed the way we watch movies. Well... not really, but it did make us laugh. And we mean we laughed so hard we wet our pants and had to hold the popcorn bucket in front of our pants when we left the theater. Now along comes a couple of Gen Xers who have decided that brilliant film was "sexist, racist" and don't forget about the naked breasts, of which there were two and only for a second. The real problem is that they don't understand why it's funny. Mostly because nowadays when things aren't understood they become "offensive." That way they don't have to try and learn about them. Rod's BEER of the WEEK comes from Arizona and involves Scotsmen lifting their kilts. Dave's Historical Rabbit Hole reminds us that (a) speed traps aren't really about "safety," and (b) judging people by how they look will always make you look foolish. Even when you don't understand that you are being mocked...
