This show is about phantoms and demons that sometimes exist inside a person’s mind. If it could not be witnessed, heard or seen by others, these individuals would find themselves committed to asylums, many of them started around the time of the American Civil War in order to address the ever-increasing populations of those left destitute through unfortunate circumstances or mental illness.
