The Allegheny County Health Department is advising residents to thow out all Family Cow brand raw milk products sold in pint, half-gallon and gallon containers as well as a variety of cheeses. The items were sold at the farm’s Chambersburg retail store and to online customers using pick up locations. Since July 1st, the Health Department says four people developed Salmonella infections after consuming raw milk products from The Family Cow. The state Department of Agriculture confirmed product samples from The Family Cow farm tested this month were contaminated with Salmonella bacteria.
