Episode Bio: In this episode your hosts Gary & Shona Allen welcome special guests Rita and Phil Crosbie of 'Sound Beings', professional Sound Healers based in Canada. They'll be discussing their life journey and work, what sound healing is and how it can help and heal in everyday life.. Guest Bio: Rita and Phil Crosbie are professional sound healers currently living on the South shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. Between them they have over 60 years experience offering a range of complementary and alternative healing modalities. After meeting at Waterloo Spiritualist Church, Liverpool UK, in 2000, where Rita was a platform medium and Phil was honing his healing and intuitive skills. In 2002 they began to use sound in their healing and meditation work and have specialised in sound healing since 2007, using an array of instruments but their overriding love is for the gong and their Paiste Planet gongs in particular. Their plan to ‘Gong the planet‘ is taking shape. They work intuitively and offer 2:1 sessions, group work for public and private sector clients - including the Canadian military working with sufferers of PTSD and their families, as well as the health service and education sectors. When in the UK Rita and Phil used to combine this work with their full-time careers in the public sector: a combined 46 years culminating in senior and middle management roles. There were no Trust Funds nor years sitting cross legged up a mountain in Bali for them - as joyful as that sounds - but rather stark and harsh days in Merseyside Police and senior management in the Civil Service. They feel that they bring real world experience to their specialism in sound healing, providing a keen insight into the needs of their clients in attempting to deal with the demands of modern day life. Living life on the ocean, with their 3 rescue cats and surrounded by nature they are committed to helping everyone through the absolute power and wonder that is Sound, Frequency and Vibration. Walking away from the ‘big’ jobs and pensions to live the dream 3,000 miles from home to bang gongs for a living, they continue to practice what they preach, and through their work help others to relax, heal and ultimately to live their own dreams.
