The Amos Document: Repentance As A Lost "Divine Imperative"

This episode of Pneumatikos will explore repentance as a lost imperative in the ancient kingdom of Jeroboam 11.  The people of Yahweh had sold out to luxury and self-indulgence.  The leisure class believed in haute couture, gastronomic delight,and sensual pleasure,and yet failed to appreciate the demands of social justice and appropriate worship of Yahweh.  The nabi Amos stole into their vanity faire and ignited a firestorm in the midst of their practical atheism.  The righteous demands of Yahweh were not to be ignored.
