Luke 1:30–31   But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31  You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. (NIV) Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. (NIV) Hebrews 6:18–19 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19  This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
