The Angels’ Song

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. “Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing over the plain. And the mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strains." Whenever I hear this song, I can't help but picture what it was like when it happened all those years ago at Jesus' birth. I live in North Carolina, and we’re surrounded by mountains. When you see how majestic and grand they are, it's hard to imagine a song so loud and sung by so many beings that it literally echoes from the mountains—probably surpassing our loudest concerts and football games. It makes sense why the shepherds literally shook in fear when they saw this scene and heard, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace - good will toward men." This worship followed the pronouncement of the Savior's birth. They wanted the world to know the Savior was born.
