Facing off against the Rangers is Paul Freeman as Ivan Ooze, a supernatural tyrant who escapes his 6,000-year prison to wreak havoc on the city of Angel Grove. Adult critics dismissed the movie as a glorified toy commercial, but it still managed to make $66.4 million on a $15 million budget.
