Between 2006 and 2012, he won multiple times on the PGA Tour, inspired the US to Ryder Cup glory, reached sixth on the world rankings, and broke records at Augusta National. Then he walked away without explanation. For 12 years, nobody knew where he was. Sightings of him were few and far between.
