Rather than simply hunting down the Apache Kid with guns blazing, the masked man devises a careful plan. He takes Reynolds' bullet-pierced badge and sends Tonto to track the outlaw's trail, while keeping one crucial secret: Tom Reynolds may not actually be dead. The Lone Ranger knows the savage Apache Kid must be lured in carefully, not through force, but through cunning that will bring him to justice on his own terms.
