The Apostles' Creed: Forgiveness of Sins, Resurrection of the Body, and Life Everlasting

We all know what it’s like to live between Good Friday and Easter morning.  There is so much darkness and despair: divorce, financial ruin, family turmoil, the death of someone you love, raising teenagers, being a teenager, being quarantined at home for weeks on end.  You know that dark place, when evil seems to triumph, where goodness can’t be seen, and where you’ve wondered if there is a God at all.  We’ve all been there.  That’s where the disciples were.  And until you realize this, until you experience the darkness of Good Friday, the darkness of the cross, you cannot appreciate what happened on Easter Sunday. But then Easter Sunday comes and everything changes.  Everything.  What once was darkness is now light.  What once was a burden is now a joy.  What once was a fear is now a chance to show boldness.  Everything changes. Resurrection Sunday
