Welcome to part one of yet another edition of THE ARCHIVE on the CINEMATIC SOUND RADIO PODCAST. Jason starts the show with “The Enterprise” from Jerry Goldsmith’s classic score for STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE (LA LA LAND) from the reissue album commemorating the recently released new 4K transfer of the film. The show continues with more Goldsmith with a suite from another recent release, L.A. CONFIDENTIAL (VARESE SARABANDE) and selections from an early TV score by the composer from GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATER (KLASSIK FILM MUSIC). Jason then presents harrowing music from Miguel D’Oliviera’s score for the documentary GRENFELL : THE UNTOLD STORY supplied by the composer, a cue from BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM (LA LA LAND) by Shirley Walker in tribute to the late voice actor Kevin Conroy, music from THUNDERBIRDS by Barry Gray from the recent concert STAND BY FOR ACTION GERRY ANDERSON IN CONCERT (SILVA SCREEN RECORDS) and some exclusive music supplied by friend of the show Brian Ralston for his latest release SILENT RIVER (HARMONIC DESIGN RECORDS) Jason then finished the show with selections from Mark McKenzie’s latest score PRANCER: A CHRISTMAS TALE (INTRADA RECORDS).
