The Ark of the Covenant – Was It a Weapon from God?

from Mysteries of History

The Ark of the Covenant, according to the Bible, was a sacred chest built to hold the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments. It is said to have been constructed according to instructions from God to Moses and was covered in gold, with two cherubim on top. The Ark was carried by priests from the tribe of Levi and was considered so holy that it could kill anyone who touched it without permission. It played a central role during the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness and in the conquest of Jericho, where it was carried before the army. The Ark of the Covenant disappeared from history after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem and has since been the subject of countless theories and searches. Hosted on Acast.
