Welcome to The Arsenal Therapy Podcast, a dedicated show about the club we love, Arsenal Football Club. Arsenal start the Premier League 2022/23 campaign with 3 points and a clean sheet after an ugly performance but a professional one nonetheless which sees us defeat Palace at Selhurst Park. The first 15 minutes of the first half showed us glimpses of what’s to come as we dominated possession, moved the ball swiftly and confidently across the lines and were rewarded for their relentless attacking football. The rest of the game was about managing Palace’s growing confidence as they utilised the long balls down the flanks as Anderson kept finding Zaha, but he couldn’t find any luck as Ben White handled the pressure. It was however, Saliba who produced a sterling performance to keep the backline firmly structured and locked in place as the Gunners brought on Tierney and Nketiah late on who helped seal the victory.
