Welcome to The Arsenal Therapy Podcast, a dedicated show about the club we love, Arsenal Football Club. Arsenal produced a brilliant away performance at St James Park to keep their title hopes very much alive. Only Liverpool had beaten Newcastle at St James Park this season and that was with Newcastle playing with 10 men for the majority of the game. This time around Arsenal battled physically in all areas of the pitch to keep a clean sheet but also to produce good counter attacking moments which was how they scored the second goal. It was clear from the first minute of the game that Newcastle would play with an aggressive front footed approach. Arsenal had to rely on certain bits of good defensive work from Kiwior and Gabriel, but it was the calm composure and leadership skills of Jorginho who helped the young Arsenal squad to find their way to victory. Jorginho was instrumental in creating a good defensive shape and helped progress the ball into key areas of the pitch which helped us stay in the game during a time when Newcastle were throwing wave after wave of long balls deep into our half.
