The Arsenal Therapy Podcast - West Ham 3-3 Arsenal (023)

Welcome to The Arsenal Therapy Podcast, a dedicated show about a club I love, Arsenal Football Club. After a horrible first 30 minutes where Arsenal concede 3 goals, they suddenly come to life to steal a thoroughly well deserved point. West Ham started the game really well with an early first half goal from Lingard. Arsenal aren't able to compose themselves quick enough as they concede a second goal from a free kick quickly taken by Lingard who slots it into the feet of Bowen who then beats Leno on his near post. The third goal is scored on the half hour mark as Arsenal look well beaten. However, with a goal scored on the end of the pitch before the half-time whistle there seems to be a glimmer of hope. The gunners start the second half as they left off at the end of the first half and put West Ham under pressure. Silky work on the ball from Odegaard and a strong work ethic from Lacazette helps them get a second goal. The final 30 minutes sees West Ham grow back into the game as a tired Arsenal side sit back, which almost cost them a goal as Antonio hits the bar. Following the introduction of Martinelli and Pepe, Arsenal push to score the third goal. Overall, it's a well deserved point from a team that showed desire and character to come back from 3-0 down, but why do Arsenal make it difficult for themselves?
