from The Jake Dunlap Show · host Jake Dunlap, Ariel Garten
Imagine a world where you could light the Olympic rings with your mind, pour a beer with a thought controlled beer tap, or paint a picture using your thoughts! This week’s guest brings the worlds of art, science, fashion, and technology all together with her brain sensing headband technologies. Her work has been featured in CNN, Forbes, Popular Science, TechCrunch, Wall Street Journal TechCrunch, and Huffington as well. Ariel Garten, Picasso of Brainwaves, is this week’s guest on “The Jake Dunlap Show.” From a very young age, art and science were very well integrated into her life. Ariel’s mother is a Visual Artist known for her large scale oil on canvas work, and Ariel was always into fashion, as clothing was “a blank canvas for expressing herself.” She believes she never wore anything twice to school as she constantly was coming up with new outfits. By 17 years old, she was designing and selling her own fashion in Toronto at the same time she was conducting stem cell and Parkinson’s Disease research in Neuroscience at The University of Toronto. Along with her love for art and science, she also took an interest in the real estate development/management space as she continued Neuroconsulting as a Private Practice Therapist, where she helped her clients gain clarity on their objectives and needs while uncovering limiting beliefs in a supportive and engaging way. Now, she is the Founder and Chief Evangelist Officer at Muse (The Brain Sensing Headband by Interaxon) where she has designed meaningful and transformational experiences, ranging from a levitating chair to a thought-controlled beer tap! Muse is an Award-Winning headband that senses brain activity and sends information to a phone or tablet, giving real time audio feedback to make meditation easier. Outside of work, she is a previous Ted Talk speaker, and investor.
