Pat Ryan is the manager of Portlaoise Boxing Club, where he has coached renowned boxers such as Katie Taylor, TJ Doheny, and Michael O'Reilly, along with many other Irish boxing champions worldwide. He attributes his success to his mother’s legacy and the mentorship he received from Mr. Blackwell, the founder of Portlaoise Boxing Club.Portlaoise Boxing Club has produced numerous Olympic medalists both nationally and globally. Pat Ryan was a former coach of Katie Taylor, working alongside her father, Pete Taylor, for over six years. He spent 13 years in the High-Performance Unit within the Irish Athletic Boxing Association (IABA) and coached TJ Doheny, who won a world championship.
