The Art of forgiveness

from Don't Shrink to Fit: Empowering and inspiring women one story at a time. · host Claudia Noriega-Bernstein

Life appears to me very short  to be spent in nursing animosity, relieving bad experiences or registering wrong. Sometimes you just have to accept an apology we never got.In this episode a share part of a chapter from my book Brighter Days and part of the sermon Rabbi Goodman did on Kol Nidre last Sunday. I am not jewish but I so much enjoy listening to him when I go to temple with my husband. "We live our life trying to emulate the divine, trying to attain holiness. This is the most important question: if God can forgive, why can’t we?  Forgiveness doesn’t mean condoning or  forgetting the wrongdoing. It doesn’t require erasing the memory of a hurtful event, or pretending never happened. Rather, it acknowledge the pain and recognizes that people make mistakes, leaving room for growth and reconciliation"I hope you enjoy this episode, and I hope you can learn something more about forgiveness and about yourself. Overwhelmed?
