When most folks hear the word “sabbatical”, their mind probably goes to a professor with a tweed jacket, who has earned tenure at a prestigious university, who is going to use that time to write a book. Or maybe your values are more Judeo-Christian based and so you think of a period of rest after 7 years. And while that might be accurate for some folks, our guest today would say that sabbaticals don’t have to be that serious or formal. But on the other hand, they’re not just an extended vacation where you’re sipping pina coladas on the beach! We’re joined by investment advisor Cady North who is the author of “The Art of the Sabbatical” and she’s going to share why taking a sabbatical might be more of a reality for everyone listening.
