Letters Against Isolation Episode 4: “The artists and their double: Practice and crisis within the art scene” with India Wilson interviewed by Constance Leterre "Having been consistently been surrounded by theatre and people who were extremely passionate about TV and film also, the direction my art practice is taking currently is intrinsically linked to understanding peoples psyche and the body, and also where the two intersect. Incorporating cinematic or temporal styles to my process of making, I do so within the mediums of sculpture, painting, photography and video. These styles stem from my love of certain concepts and genres: affect, body politics, sci-fi and fantasy, horror (gore, the abject and psychological), eroticism, dark humour, and the absurd. I hope to come in and out of the realms of fine art, theatre, TV, film, and socially engaging work, and still apply the process personal to me. I love to engage with the texture of people and place, dissect or displace the details I pick out, often using a playful or experimental attitude. The application to different industries is all aligned in my want to pursue a career in art direction, and whatever form that may take."
