As the government falls, street gangs fill the vacuum killing anyone who gets in their way. Living day to day in a small efficiency, the end appears inevitable, not only for the Mendez family but for the entire world. And yet, something about this day seems oddly familiar. Maybe, just maybe... Genre: adventure, drama, fantasy, horror, melodrama Subject Matter Keywords: virus, pandemic, Hope, apocalypse, faith, war, religion, future dystopia, New York City About Tom Tom David Barna Tom David Barna, playwright, and lyricist is a four-time McKnight Fellow (most recently--2018-9), recent Resident Playwright at the Twin Rivers Center for the Arts and former McKnight Artist Career Development Grant Recipient. OPEN TO THEATER COLLABORATION. Four -time invitee to the international playwright conference, VALDEZ LAST FRONTIER THEATRE CONFERENCE. He has written twenty-seven full-length plays, twenty-four short plays, co-author for a 13-part radio series, and author of four children's books (Cantata Publishing). He has accepted commissioned work as varied as radio and children's musicals. He is the recipient of more than twenty-six regional non-equity and/or festival productions and/or staged readings since writing his first play in 2009. Tom is a twenty-two year Marine Corps Veteran. Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts at New Mexico State University.
