Fan favourites Whitehaven Coal and Fortescue Metals (FMG) finished the day as the best performers, up 6% and 5.5% respectively. In contrast, the clear loser was Star Entertainment Group down 22% as it fends off allegations of money laundering and fraud at two of its key casinos.
