Beck was also an American Hockey League (AHL) All-Star proving that he’s capable of being elite at a high level. Playing with the Burnaby Winter Club, he was passed up in the WHL draft, but. ended up playing for the WHL's Tri City Americans, breaking the single season save record. He was also passed up in the NHL draft three years in a row and then signed with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes as an un-drafted free agent. Beck signed with the Buffalo Sabres organization in Summer 2022 and on contract with the Rochester Americans in the AHL.
