These are stories about communism, specifically in the United States, how it spread during the Great Depression, why it became popular with Southern Black Americans, how that story ties into Atlanta history and how leaders in Atlanta attempted to crush the movement and it’s activists in any way possible, including using an archaic insurrection law.
