The Authority of God in Parent/Child Relationships

from The DCC Podcast · host Dayspring Christian Center

Today, Bishop teaches from Ephesians 6:1-3 and Colossians 3:18-21 on the the critical of the father. Parents give their children three things: Bring them into being, provide them nourishment and give them instructions. There is a difference between obedience and honor. Obey means to do what another says to do and honor means respect and love. Obedience that recognizes parent's authority can carry over into recognizing God's authority. Apostle Paul gives four things Christians need to know to have harmony in Christ: (1) Christians are "in the Lord, (2) Obedience is right, (3) Obedience is commanded, and (4) Obedience brings blessings. Happy Father's Day to all spiritual, natural and surrogate fathers. Have a safe and blessed week!
